Solutions to Joint Pain and Stiffness: 1 p.m. For adults. Register for this event today. Do you find yourself slowing down and being side-lined because of joint pain and stiffness? Come and learn about some common causes of arthritis and how you can stay in the game of life by caring for your joints. We will explore some of the current treatments and recommendations for maintaining bone and joint health.

From Our Table to Yours-Share, Swap, & Take: 9 a.m. For adults. Have an abundance of vegetables, fruits, and herbs from your garden? Consider sharing them with others. On Thursdays during September and October, the lobby of the Eldersburg Branch Library will have a table where you can share items from your home garden. We encourage community members to share, swap, and take what you are interested in trying.

Paint with Artful Libations: 6:30 p.m. For adults. Register for this event today. Come try a free painting session, courtesy of Artful Libations. You'll create an original 8 x 10 acrylic painting surrounded by other adventurous and/or budding artists with various painting skills. We have a step-by-step process that can make an artist out of anyone, and send you home with your very own creation to hang on your wall. Teen Volunteer Time: 7 p.m. For ages 12-17. Need service hours? Help the library. We are looking for young adults who would like to earn service hours. Help the library prepare crafts for story time, pull library materials from the shelves, and do other special projects. Come and earn service hours, it's just that easy.

Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy's Mommy and Me: 9:45 a.m. For ages 24 months-3 years. Register for this event today. Mommy and child can enjoy a fun-filled activity and, at the same time, develop movement awareness, motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, and agility. Please wear loose fitting pants or shorts. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Only kids need to register.

Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy's Tiny Tigers: 10:30 a.m. For ages 3-5. Register for this event today. This program focuses on motor skills as well as listening and taking turns. LEGO Creations: 11 a.m. For ages 5-adult. Want to build a castle? Or a spaceship? Or something totally new and different? Join us for a LEGO® program where you can build whatever you would like. We supply the blocks and you supply the creativity. Bring your dad or your mom and build together.

First-Time Home Buyers: 1 p.m. For adults. Join us for this informative session for first-time home buyers. A panel of experts will be on hand to advise you and answer your questions. Topics covered include the mortgage lending process, title company procedures, home inspections, and real estate sale and buying options.

Grandparents/Special Friend Celebration: 2 p.m. For ages 3-7. Register for this event today. Bring your grandparents or special older friend to our celebration of Grandparents Day. We will read a story, play Grandparents Bingo, and make a special craft to honor our grandparents. Refreshments will be served. Only kids need to register.
