Document Shredding: 10 a.m.-noon. For adults. The Shred Mill, a local Sykesville company, will offer free shredding of up to four boxes of paper.

Summer Reading Kick-Off: 10 a.m.-noon. For all ages. Join the library for fun activities including face painting, crafts and games to celebrate the Summer Reading Program. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Elephant & Piggie Theatre: 10 a.m. For all ages. Register for this event. Join the stars of Mo Willems' "Elephant and Piggie" series as they act out some of their favorite stories. This lively, interactive show incorporates music and imaginative play. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. All attendees need to register. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development Grant from the Carroll County Arts Council.

Tech Bloc: 2 p.m. For ages 11-17. Register for this event. Explore 3D design and printing, game design using Scratch, and coding using Raspberry Pi with Minecraft and Python during this four-day tech immersion experience. Teens must be pre-registered and able to attend all four days of the two-hour sessions. Participants will need an email address to create a free online account. Raspberry Pi is a trademark of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
