Homeschooler's Class: Problem Solving in Minecraft: 2 p.m. For ages 6 to 11. Join the fun in these literature-based science, social studies, math and language arts programs.

Minecraft in the Afternoon: 2 p.m. For ages 8 to 15. Register for this event. Participants are welcome to play Minecraft with other players on the special library Minecraft server.

Black-Eyed Susan Book Discussion: "Kizzy Ann Stamps," by Jeri Watts: 7 p.m. For ages 9 to 11. Join the library for a discussion of this month's chosen Black-Eyed Susan Nominee book from the 4th through 6th grade list. This is a great way to prepare for the Battle of the Books if you are on a team. Participation in Battle of the Books is not required to join the discussion. Area school library Media Specialists will help facilitate the discussion. All attendees need to register.

Crochet 911: 7 p.m. For ages 11 to adults. Caroline Brocato will lead this crocheting class. Those who know how to crochet are welcome. Everyone is asked to bring a size J hook and light colored yarn to the class.

Minecraft at Night: 7:30 p.m. For ages 8 to 17. Register for this event. Participants are welcome to play Minecraft with other players on the special library Minecraft server.

Read and Play: 9:45 a.m. For ages birth to 24 months, with accompanying adult. A storytime featuring lap games, tickles, bounces and rhymes followed by a play group for meeting and mingling.

Teen Volunteer Time: 7 p.m. For ages 12 to 17. Need service hours? The library is looking for young adults who would like to earn service hours. Volunteers would prepare crafts for storytime, pull library materials from the shelves and do other special projects.

Mock the Movie Lock-In: 6:30 p.m. For ages 11 to 17. Register for this event. Are you tired of being shushed by others when you're cracking jokes with your friends in the movie theater? Fear not. Jokes, insults, and witty commentary are welcome while screening the terrible 1977 movie, "Empire of the Ants." Rated PG. Refreshments will be served. All attendees need to register.

Alice and Friends Straight from Wonderland: 9:45 a.m. For ages 2 to adults. Meet Alice and other Wonderland characters straight from Liberty High School's production of Alice. Participants will see a scene from the show, learn a bit about Alice, make a craft and have character autographs. Bring a camera if you would like to take a photo during a meet and greet. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. All attendees need to register.

Getting Started With Your Genealogy: 2 p.m. For adults. Register for this event. If you have thought about searching for your ancestors but did not know how to start, this presentation will kick-off your research with five easy steps. This presentation will cover why genealogy is important, how you begin your search, forms used in genealogy, resources and record types, citing your sources and how to improve your skills. This is a Celebrating America program.

Business Communications: 5:30 p.m. For adults. Writing clearly and communicating your message is vital in today's economy. Through this program, participants will learn to write effective business newsletters and other marketing materials, business correspondence — emails, letters and contractual writings — speeches and presentations. Brush up on essential grammar and writing techniques to create a framework for getting your message out to the public as part of this course offered at Carroll Community College.
