Support District 4 write-in candidate [Letter]

Jim Rowe has faced many challenges throughout his life. He is facing yet another. He is determined to overcome this one too. Rowe is running for Carroll County commissioner in District 4 as a write in candidate.

He started working in a medical field and rose from an orderly over time with hard work, hard study and many hours of homework to become a board certified registered nurse. Now he is a teacher as well, teaching students who are in nursing aide classes, as well as nursing degree courses.

Later Rowe became an owner of a nursing home and gave excellent care to his patients at as low a price as he was able. He may not be rich in money from this endeavor, but his life was quite enriched by the friends he made and families that he helped at that time in his life. He understands the elderly of the community.

During the time he was running a nursing home he went into the restaurant business with a partner on Main Street in Union Bridge. He even makes most of the yummy deserts. He enriches many more lives while running this business, as he is a very congenial host, plus a good cook.

Rowe is also attuned to agriculture in the county. He came from good farm stock. His family has been in this county for more than four generations. Some relatives are farming large farms and/or running small businesses, as he is at this time. He presently lives on a small farm right across the road from where his grandparents farmed many years ago.

He is quite interested in education. He wants to see all children receive an excellent education and to be presented with opportunities at school to attain their life goals.

Rowe is a candidate worth writing in his name on your ballot on Nov. 4. To do that, look for county commissioner on your ballot and touch the box to the left of the word "Write-In." A pop-up keyboard will appear. Use the keyboard to type Jim Rowe. Check the spelling. Be sure there is a space between Jim and Rowe. Touch the "record Write-In" button to enter your vote. Upon completion of entire ballot, touch "cast ballot" to record your vote. Take these directions to the polls with you on Nov. 4.
