Nowadays, it takes a lot of effort for me to read articles written by mainstream media networks, like The Washington Post or the New York Times, that openly supported Clinton in the general election and cannot seem to accept the fact that they predicted the election completely and utterly wrong.
However, they are now attacking Trump for suggesting the possibility of punishing people who burn the American flag. Yet, if these alt-left journalists took a trip down memory lane, they'd find that when Hillary Clinton was a senator, she actually co-sponsored the Flag Protection Act of 2005 with Sen. Bob Bennett which would have called for a punishment of no more than one year in prison and a fine of no more than $100,000. Hypocrisy practically oozes from the Democrat Party and this is just one of many examples. Another example is when Clinton and journalists said how "horrifying" it was that Trump might not accept the results of the election yet she is literally doing the exact same thing at this very moment.
While I personally believe that burning the American flag is protected by the First Amendment, and several Supreme Court rulings have determined this too, I would like to point out that flag burning does not help anyone's cause, but instead causes Americans like myself to look at them with disdain and contempt. Find a more useful way to protest. We waited eight years and Americans protested peacefully at the ballot box on Nov. 8.
