In her recent letter, candidate for Carroll County Democratic Central Committee Raquel Walsh states, "how can we expect our young people to pay up to $10,000 a year for health care" in response to Andy Harris' statement at a Town Hall meeting that young, healthy people should be buying plans with high deductibles, even $10,000. Why am I not surprised that Raquel doesn't know that a deductible is not the same as a premium? Deductibles are only used when someone needs healthcare. Young healthy people typically do not use their healthcare and a high deductible would save them on the actual cost of the premium. Raquel will do just fine though since the facts don't matter to the Times, or Dems as long as she is opposing the Republicans. Maybe Raquel will not just get elected but promoted like Susan Rice. Rice knowingly lied to all five major Sunday morning shows about the reason four Americans were killed. Since she is a leftist and protecting the ruling class and Obama she not only got a pass, but was promoted.
