Socialism, not climate change, is our biggest threat
The biggest threat to our way of life is not climate change, but socialist. Socialism destroys the middle class, which is probably your economic class. The energy in America’s Democrat (not Democratic) party is with the socialist whose same policies have ruined Venezuela and many other places. Look at the disparity of wealth in the Democrat-run cities. Socialists take control of and centralize the basics like energy and health care but also the police, courts and military. Without a Second Amendment people are helpless as the ruling class steals billions of dollars and lives extravagantly. The 2020 Democrat hopefuls are preaching the same false promises that many tyrants have used to gain power.
The Scandinavian countries are not socialist but are capitalist. Their means of production is primarily owned by individuals and the market and their governments don’t determine the uses of their resources. They can afford large social programs since our military protects them.
Trump’s State of the Union was great. Dems didn’t stand to agree that America will never be socialist! Trump exposed their hypocrisy of hiding behind walls while poor and working-class Americans are hurt by the low-skilled migrant influx. Obama found $1.8 billion in cash to give Iran but we can’t find money to protect American workers and poor exploited migrants. Trump uncovered Dems affection for “late-term-plus” abortion. Advocates for special needs children should be alarmed by this abortion policy. Voting special needs people need to be properly informed about it.
If you don’t watch Fox News you never would have heard the comments from the Virginia governor describing the killing of a newborn baby that many imply is a special needs baby. Major news networks didn’t report about his comments until after the yearbook photo. It didn’t fit their propaganda purpose. The Dems celebrated when a “late-term-plus” abortion law was passed in New York state. In New York City, half of all black pregnancies are aborted. How is this a good thing for blacks? A black Democrat has accused the Virginia Lt. Governor of sexual misconduct and the left is treating her completely differently than the white Democrat accuser of Justice Kavanaugh.
If the left isn’t able to distract people with the identity politics, they will have to make their case based on the facts. When this happens maybe the mass psychosis that half the country is living in will be shattered, and we can keep America great.
Trump’s lack of empathy antithetical to Christ’s teachings
According to Mr. J. Zablosky’s Feb. 15 letter to editor, Mr. Trump “offers Christians more freedoms to be good Christians.”
A president who is a pathological liar, an adulterer, immoral, dishonest, and a vile con-man is no role model for Christian values.
Trump lacks any ounce of empathy or compassion for anyone except himself. This is antithetical to the teachings of Christ. The plight of the sick, poor, and, yes, even immigrants, are irrelevant to Trump’s narcissistic keyhole view of the world.
What’s more, I wouldn’t call the right to bear deadly weapons any kind of Christian freedom, much less ignoring global warming, among many non-Biblical items on Mr. Zablosky's list. Christians should remember God’s warning: “… I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination.” (Jeremiah 2:7).
Jesus had several parables relevant to Trump’s secularism which reiterate that possessing worldly riches and power offer no right to treasures in heaven.
What’s the real reason to ‘still vote for Trump’?
This is in response to “still voting for Trump.”
Thank you for your Bible lesson on the teachings of Christ. What does Christianity have to do with health care, energy policy, firearm ownership, economics, trade policy, climate, etc.?
Does Christianity differentiate between Christians of different colors? Does Christianity teach us to separate parents from their children and then place them in cages? I don’t think so. So what is the real reason you would still vote for Trump?
