Letters: Disagrees with Zirpoli column; endorsing Kate Carter for Council; we should be like New Zealand

The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming

This is in response to Tom Zirpoli's recent column “A shifting story of Russian help during the presidential campaign.” Zirpoli said “Trump is conflicted” and “the evidence is overwhelming” that Russia helped him win the White House. This is liberal fantasy.

Did Zirpoli take 22 months, to interview 500 witness, review over a million e-mails/documents, issue 2,800 subpoenas, 500 search warrants and gather information from 13 foreign governments? No. But, Robert Mueller and his partisan Democratic attorneys did. Mueller, Andrew Weissmann (attended Hillary's 2016 election night party), Jeannie Rhee (Hillary's attorney) and other biased attorneys launched an investigation in search of a crime, and even they found no evidence that Trump, or anyone in his campaign, colluded/conspired with Russia.

Since the Cold War, Russia has attempted to interfere (sow discourse) in our elections and in 2016 the Democrats made sure they succeeded. The problem with Zirpoli and the Democrats is they refuse to provide an impartial analysis of Russia's attempted interference, without their hyper-partisan, wishful thinking to implicate President Trump.

For over two years Democrats Adam Schiff (head of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence), Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, etc., all said they have evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. Obama's senior appointees at the DOJ/ FBI/CIA and their servile, self-righteous, mainstream media hacks at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, New York Times and some local talent picked up their lies and hysterically yelled and screamed Collusion, Collusion, Collusion. They all lied to the American public for two years. That's two years of fake news.

Look at facts instead of opinions, innuendos and wishful thinking. Did Trump pay $168,000 to Perkins Cole and Fusion GPS to obtain the fake Russian (Steele) dossier with dirt on his political opponent? No, Hillary and the DNC did. In 2016, did Trump pay Perkins Cole $800,000 for legal services? No, the Obama campaign did. Did Trump delete thousands of emails/documents and destroy hardware despite a congressional subpoena to preserve them? No, Hillary did. Did the FBI investigate Hillary? No, Loretta Lynch met Bill on the tarmac, told Comey it's a “matter” and Comey contorted the law to exonerate her before she was interviewed. Did Trump have allies in the DOJ/FBI/CIA? No, Hillary did. Did the FBI spy on the Hillary campaign? No, they spied on the Trump campaign.

Endorsing Kate Carter for Westminster Council

I am writing to endorse Kate Carter as a candidate for the City Council of Westminster. I have known Kate and her family for 40 years. I have watched Kate grow into a very bright, articulate, and responsible young woman. She grew up in Carroll County and attended Carroll County Public Schools. She and her husband, Tom, chose to purchase a home in the city of Westminster and have become very involved in their neighborhood and community.

Kate has made a commitment to be involved in the political life of Westminster by attending city council meetings. She also was previously a member of the Westminster Public Safety Advisory Council. She has done so in an effort to make the city a safe place that is welcoming to young families and that is a place that is focused on continuing healthy economic development so that young families have the opportunity to stay and work in Westminster.

I have known Kate to have a strong worth ethic and to be very goal-oriented in her personal life. She also works in the field of information technology, which is a valuable asset for any business and community leader. I feel confident that these same qualities will transfer to make Kate Carter an excellent member of the Westminster City Council.

Why can’t US do what New Zealand did?

In New Zealand, 50 people were massacred at worship. Within 30 days, automatic weapons were outlawed in that country.

In the United States, dozens of people have been killed in mass murders over the past 20 years and absolutely nothing has been done to stop it.

Shame on the United States of America!
