“The greatest power on earth is the magnificent power we, all of us, possess … the power of the human brain.”

-- Professor X

Some local superheroes are well-acquainted with the greatest power on earth.

On Saturday May 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Montessori School of Westminster will open its campus to the community to celebrate and enjoy our local superheroes.

With a timed 5K race, a fun run, games and prizes, caricatures, face-painting, hair design, and even balloon artistry by Wonder Woman, the day is a fun time for family and friends in the community.

Through the event’s registration, silent auction, sponsorships, and vendor village, the school raises money for its community scholarships and financial aid to ensure that more and more children are able to access a Montessori education.

At Montessori School of Westminster (MSW), a local nonprofit that has provided Montessori education since 1974, we know that superheroes come in all shapes and sizes.

They stretch their powers of exploration and logic, their gifts of music, art and creativity.

The Montessori staff at MSW get to watch those super powers unfold every day. The school cultivates independent, self-advocating, intellectually curious learners engaged in a global community. Kids are our superheroes; it is nothing short of amazing to watch what they do and discover who they are becoming!

Serving students from age 2 up through ninth grade, the Montessori School of Westminster delivers an individualized, self-paced, structured education in a nurturing environment that allows students the opportunity to explore topics deeply and reach their fullest potential.

Be a superhero for the day and join the community as we celebrate in full superhero attire on May 4 at Montessori School of Westminster, located at 1055 Montessori Drive, Westminster.
