America’s strength is its diversity. Every immigrant group has added to the fabric of American culture, contributed to our nation’s economic strength, defended its Constitution, made America greater. According to recent surveys by the Pew Research Center, about 72 percent of Americans are Christians; the rest are Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, or none-of-the-above. The Census asks people living here if they’re Native American or Alaskan Natives, Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino, or more than one of the above. Putting it simply, we’re all different in one way or another. What unites us is living in America, under the rule of law which says all people are created equal.
