Local organizations honored for cybersecurity

The nonprofit Cybersecurity Association of Maryland Inc. presented awards to Maryland companies, organizations and individuals judged to have outstanding cybersecurity products, services and/or programs, or to have made a substantial contribution to Maryland's cybersecurity industry, at its third annual Maryland Cybersecurity Awards Celebration on April 11, at Maryland LIVE! Casino & Hotel, Hanover.

The Carroll Technology Council Inc. and the Mid-Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory, both based in Westminster, were finalists in the "Cybersecurity Industry Resource Award" category, with MAGIC receiving the award. Westminster-based systems integration and consulting company Skayl received the "Best of Carroll County" award.
