Stylist Sandy Baker, of Hotlooks Hair Design in Westminster, has been decorating mannequins with a monthly theme to serve as window displays at the salon since last December. Her displays have included Queen of Hearts, Mardi Gras, and mermaid designs. Her most recent design for October, titled Time for Change, featured leaves and seasonal elements. Baker also designed a piece, Hair-Raising Hon of Main Street, that earned second place in Westminster's Downtown Scarecrow Contest held Oct. 24. The scarecrow was inspired by the character of Edna in "Hairspray," as well as the annual HonFest in Baltimore. Hotlooks Hair Design is at 178 E. Main St., Westminster.
