Just before 3 a.m. on Aug. 19, Westminster police responded to a report of a fight near the Sheetz at 304 E. Main Street in Westminster and saw a man, wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts, carrying a book bag and walking toward the rear of 10 Washington Road, according to charging documents.

The alleged victim informed police the man had stolen the book bag from him, according to charging documents.

Police tried to contact the man seen walking but, according to documents, he fled on foot, only to be discovered hiding in a dumpster behind 10 Washington Road, while the book bag — containing an Xbox gaming system — was found on the sidewalk nearby.

The alleged victim told police he and another male friend had been in an argument with three other males, one of which was Wright. The alleged victim told police Wright punched his friend, according to charging documents.

The alleged victim told police Wright also tried to punch him, he missed but grabbed for the strap of the book bag, leading the alleged victim to let go and run for safety, according to charging documents.
