Several small businesses will be recognized by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Department of Economic Development on Nov. 6 at the eighth annual Carroll County Small Business Awards.
The Chamber of Commerce announced five Small Businesses of the Year winners with one to 10 employees: Anne Marie Rose Jewelry Designs, Dean Robert Camlin & Associates Inc., Travel & Tours Unlimited, Sonata Venture Solutions and VoxPop Communications, according to a news release.
The chamber also recognized Elite Tents and Events and WellAdvantage for Small Business of the Year with 11 to 50 employees and Salerno's Restaurant & Catering for Small Business of the Year with 51 to 200 employees, according to the release.
Carroll Lutheran Village and Human Services Programs of Carroll County were also recognized as Nonprofit Partners in Business, according to the release.
The Department of Economic Development's other award-winners include Bullock's Country Family Restaurant, Meats & Farm Market with the Agribusiness Award; Jason Stambaugh of Startup Local with the Business Champion Award; Legacy Septic & Excavation with the Workforce Development Award; Hydro-Terra Group with the Small Business Award; and Hampstead Farmer's Market with the Downtown Community Builder Award, according to the release.
The awards ceremony will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, at Cre-a-tv Studios on Londontown Boulevard in Eldersburg, according to the release.
