Rube Goldberg inventions to be assembled at Mount Airy library

Those looking for a mental challenge the day after Christmas can try their hand at stamping a book — in the most complex way possible — by building a Rube Goldberg contraption at the Mount Airy branch of the Carroll County Public Library on Dec. 26.

This free event for children ages 11 through 17 will lead them through the process of creating a wacky, complicated device designed to accomplish a simple task in a hilarious fashion — think of the game Mousetrap.

The event begins at 11 a.m. at 705 Ridge Ave. in Mount Airy.
