Resurfacing work on Md. 94 in Howard County will force lane closures between Md. 144 and Cattail River Drive in the coming weeks.

The Maryland State Highway Administration began work on the one-mile stretch of Md. 94 on Oct. 10 and will complete work later this fall, weather permitting, according to an SHA news release.

Lane closures and flagging operations will be active between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, according to the release.

The project involves removing the top layer of pavement, paving, installing rumble strips, re-striping and updating the guardrail system, according to the release.
