U.S. News: McDaniel no. 129 in national liberal arts colleges

McDaniel College ranks No. 129 in National Liberal Arts Colleges by the 2015 U.S. News and World Report's Best Colleges rankings.

McDaniel tied with Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga.; Concordia College, Moorhead in Moorhead, Minn.; and Goshen College in Goshen, Ind.

McDaniel was named an "A-Plus School for B Students" by U.S. News, which highlights colleges for "a good student with less than stellar test scores or so-so GPA."

The college was ranked as a selective school.

McDaniel College President Roger N. Casey said he appreciates the visibility that rankings bring to the institution.

"These accolades reflect the college's increasing national prominence and solidfy McDaniel as one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges," Casey wrote in a statement. "Our campus is now populated with diverse students from across the country and around the globe who first learned of McDaniel from these rankings and guidebooks."
