Ramos was being held Thursday at the Carroll County Detention Center on $15,000 bond after a bail review hearing was held Thursday, according to electronic court records. A trial date has been scheduled for Dec. 11, according to electronic court records.

On Sept. 21, members of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office were sent to a vehicle auction house on Old Westminster Pike for a report of wheels and tires having been stolen off vehicles, according to charging documents. Deputies made note of seven vehicles missing parts, according to charging documents. The estimated value of the missing rims and tires was $4,800, police said.

Ramos was later detained in Hyattsville and transported to Carroll County for questioning by deputies, when he confessed that he and a co-conspirator took vehicle rims and tires from vehicles, according to charging documents. As of 5 p.m. Thursday, the co-conspirator had not been charged. Charging documents give no indication how Ramos was identified as a suspect.

Ramos also told police he returned to the lot on Aug. 23 to take four remaining tires he had hidden in a grassy marsh, according to charging documents.

A sheriff's office spokesman said no further information could be released about the incident due to a pending investigation.
