The Film Lovers in Carroll County will host a screening of the film "Pride" at 1 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 19 at the Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main St., Westminster. The British film tells the story of London gay and lesbian activists working to raise money for miners during the 1984 National Union of Mineworkers strike. The film, directed by Matthew Warchus,stars Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton and Dominic West. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for Carroll County Arts Council members, youth 18 and younger, and seniors older than 60. The matinee showing at 1 p.m. will have open captioning for those with hearing impairments.
