Police are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian Monday evening in Eldersburg.
The pedestrian, identified as Udistair Holligan, 25, of Ghana, was injured in the crash, which took place near the intersection of Liberty Road and Ridge Road, by the Walmart entrance, said Maryland State Police Sgt. Robert Petras.
Holligan was one of four people crossing Liberty Road in an unilluminated area near the McDonald's restaurant around 7:39 p.m. Monday, according to a Maryland State Police news release, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Liberty Road.
Police do not have the license plate number of the car involved, but are looking for a dark-colored sedan, possibly with front-end and windshield damage.
Holligan was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, and his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Petras said.
Shock Trauma staff said Tuesday morning that Holligan has since been released.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Maryland State Westminster Barrack at 410-386-3000.
