Partnership wants to know your health needs

The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County needs your input on what the most pressing health needs are in the county.

All through July and August, The Partnership is soliciting comments in an online survey as part of its Community Health Needs Assessment. This anonymous survey will ask respondents about their health and the factors they believe contribute to their health or health issues.

All adults are welcome to offer their perspective online at www.healthycarroll.org/survey.

The responses to the survey are used to create a new, Community Benefit and Health Improvement Plan that will help guide the use of resources to improve the health of everyone in Carroll by setting health priorities. The Partnership last conducted the assessment in 2015.

"These priorities are then evaluated by Carroll Hospital, the Carroll County Health Department, and many other organizations so that key health concerns are addressed through the most effective local programs and services," said Lisa Wack, community health improvement manager with the Partnership. "Last time, for instance, one of the health priorities that came up was diabetes, so some of the hospital's community education and outreach programs focused on diabetes and pre-diabetes."

Once the survey data is used to formulate a new Community Benefit and Health Improvement Plan, the public can see the results at www.healthycarroll.org by looking under "plans."
