The warm weather is upon us and there are so many opportunities in and around the North Carroll community. From yard sales, flea markets, car shows, bike runs, farmer's markets, and so much more; there is a little something for everyone.

The Coon Club in Hampstead is preparing for a busy schedule this summer. Below are some of the events and details that are happening at the club.

Want to let off some steam and enjoy awesome music? For several Saturdays this summer, the Club hosts dances with some pretty cool bands. Come out and dance your stress away and hang out with friends. Please note that for these dances, you must be 21 or older, and they will ask for everyone's identification. The doors open at 7 p.m. each night, and there is a cover charge. Some of the bands scheduled to play include Surreal, Bootleg, Big Jack and Half Serious. To see a complete band schedule, visit their website.

In addition to band nights, they will host the 9th Annual Jillian Ride to benefit Johns Hopkins Hospital Children's Center on May 28. The ride begins at Full Moon Pub and Grille in Reisterstown, with registration from 10-11 a.m. The ride will end at the Coon Club and feature an After Party beginning at 4 p.m. There will be music, dancing, prizes, raffles and food. Registration is $25 per person.

The Coon Club Bike Show Music Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 3. There will be a bike show, bike games, burnout pit, loud pipe contest, tattoo contest, music by Number 1 Cause, food for sale, and much more. Participants must be 18 or older to attend. Community Plant Swap

Bill Watterson, writer of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip said, "I say, if your knees aren't green by the end of the day, you ought to seriously re-examine your life." Finding the perfect plants, advice and tips on planting and meeting others that share your passion can be done right here in North Carroll. From 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, there will be a Community Plant Swap at Charlotte's Quest Nature Center.

Bring plants to swap with others, take home free seeds and free handouts from their plant information table. If you're new to planting, or just don't have any to swap, for a small $5 donation, you will be given plants to take home and plant. In addition, there will be a book and white elephant table, with proceeds benefiting the Nature Center. Free refreshments will be available as well.

The Center is located at 3400 Wilhelm Lane, Manchester. For information, call 410-374-3395 or visit www.charlottesquestnaturecenter.com.
