Woman airlifted to Shock Trauma after single-car crash on Md. 482

A woman was airlifted to Shock Trauma after her car drove off Md. 482 and landed amid a group of trees.

The crash involved just the single car and occurred in the 1700 block of Md. 482, also known as Hampstead Mexico Road, Westminster Volunteer Fire Company spokesman Bob Cumberland said.

There was one female driver, who was extracted from the car and then airlifted to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center, said Sgt. Jon McGee, of Maryland State Police.

The crash happened at about 2:39 p.m. and the Westminster Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene at about 2:47 p.m., Cumberland said.

At about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, McGee said the driver was in stable condition at the hospital and the state police had no plans to release further details of the crash because "it wasn't that serious."
