Health department seeks dog that bit victim in Hampstead

The Carroll County Health Department is searching for a dog that bit a victim on Monday, in the Roberts Field development in Hampstead, according to a press release.

The dog is described as having a collar and being yellow or gold in color, possibly a yellow lab or golden retriever mix. If the dog cannot be found and cleared of having rabies, the bite victim will have to undergo a series of post exposure rabies shots, according to the release. The health department can wait until the morning of Sept. 4 to locate the animal.
