Lt. Col. Gallagher graduates

Lt. Col. K. Weedon Gallagher has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and earned a master's degree in strategic studies.

The college is the Army's senior educational institution.


The 10-month curriculum of the Army's senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers of all the U.S. military branches of service, foreign military officers and senior civilian officials of federal agencies to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. armed forces worldwide.

Gallagher is serving as a division engineer with the 29th Infantry Division, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.


He has served in the military for 23 years.

Gallagher is the son of Mary E. Gallagher, of Frederick, and husband of Anne M. Gallagher, of Mount Airy.

He is a 1986 graduate of St. John's College High School, Washington, D.C. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1991 from Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia.
