Sheriff's Office partners with Toys for Tots

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys for distribution as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.

Over the years, the Marine Corps Reserve has established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies that are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.

Residents may drop off any new, packaged, unwrapped toys in collection boxes located inside the entrance at any one of the six Carroll County Public Library branches; the library headquarters in New Windsor; or the Carroll County Office Building or Sheriff's Office, both in Westminster. Used toys will not be accepted. Toy donations should be submitted by Wednesday, Dec. 17.

For more information, contact Cpl. Christopher McMillen at 410-386-2863 or cmcmillen@ccg.carr.org, or visit the Toys for Tots Foundation website at http://www.toysfortots.org.
