More than 50 vendors will collaborate with the Elliott City Partnership for a fundraiser intended to support residents of Ellicott City's Main Street.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Carroll County Agriculture Center, at 706 Agricultural Center Drive in Westminster.

According to organizer Laura Hewitt, a variety of businesses will be featured, from mixed media artists to health and beauty vendors.

More than 1,000 participants had raised $96,000 as of 10 a.m. Sunday to benefit the American Cancer Society.

"Each of the craft vendors and small business owners will donate what they can to the cause from their net sales," Hewitt said. "All money will then go to the Ellicott City Partnership to help the individuals and families impacted by the flood."

On the evening on July 30, Ellicott City was ravaged by flood waters as six and a half inches of rain fell in about two hours.
