Health Department seeks dog and owner

A Westminster resident is facing a treatment of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog that bit the person is not located by Aug. 26, according to a release from the Carroll County Health Department.

The bite occurred on Aug. 16, according to the release, at the intersection of Silver Court and Windsor Drive in Westminster, and the dog was described as a golden retriever.

Persons with information that might aid health officials in locating the dog or its owner should call the Humane Society of Carroll County at 410-848-4810 or the health department at 410-876-1884.
