The South Carroll Stagelighters will be presenting "Around the World in 8 Plays," by Patrick Greene and Jason Pizzarello, at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at South Carroll High School.
This fun, lively show will take the audience through eight different folk tales from all over the globe, as a group of traveling players tries to sell their stories to crowds in Central Park.
This show is certain to be a hit with all ages, according to producer Caitlin Adolph.
The show stars SCHS students Greg Curtis, Marissa Mowers, Elizabeth Larsen, Danny Marken, Emily Sticap, Konner Pavlik, Gillian VanDitta and Jacob Miller.
"This is such a fun show – it's not well-known, but it's well-written and leaves room for plenty of creative input from the cast, which our students are loving. '8 Plays' is definitely a must-see," said Adolph.
The Mount Airy fire company will host a Big Country Breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the activities building at 1008 Twin Arch Road, Mount Airy.
The menu will include scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, pancakes, biscuits, home fries, sausage gravy, chipped beef gravy, baked apples, waffles, coffee, orange juice, tea and hot chocolate
The cost is: adults, $8; 6- to 11-year-olds, $5; and children 5 and younger, free.
