Cement truck rolls, leads to cleanup along Md. 27

No one was injured when a cement truck rolled over on Md. 27 south of Westminster early Thursday, but crews spent most of the day cleaning up after the incident.

The tractor-trailer was traveling south on Md. 27 near Marston Road when it left the roadway and rolled over, spilling some of its load at about 4:30 a.m., according to a spokesman from the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack.

Portions of the road were closed throughout the morning and afternoon, according to police, and the state police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division responded to the scene.

Troopers cleared the scene at about 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the spokesman.
