The Carroll County Business and Employment Resource Center is seeking employers for a fall job fair.
BERC will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Westminster workforce center, located at 224 N. Center St., according to a county news release.
The center is asking that businesses with current openings participate in the fair. Currently, BERC manager Denise Rickell said, there are about 15 openings left for employers. Ten, she said, have already signed up.
Rickell said between 200 and 400 job seekers usually attend job fairs hosted by BERC. The event is free for both job seekers and employers. Employers must register ahead of time by contacting the center at 410-386-2820. Job seekers do not need to pre-register.
The center serves as the county Department of Economic Development's workforce agency. It is part of America's Job Network and the Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board.
Information on job openings in the area can also be found on BERC's Twitter, @carroll_works, or by calling 410-386-2820 or visiting www.carrollworks.com.
