The Long View Nursing Home team participated in The Walk to End Alzheimer's, raising $6,743. Money was raised through various fundraisers at Long View, including bake sales and T-shirt sales.

The largest donation, $4,200, was from Shane Johnson, owner of Fuzion Vapor. Every month Fuzion Vapor picks a charity and donates 50 percent of a product's sale to that charity. Johnson was born and raised in Manchester and has ties to Long View Nursing Home because one of his grandmothers worked there in the 60s and 70s, his great-grandmother spent her last days there in the 80s, and currently his brother, Jesse Johnson, is employed there as the Alzheimer/dementia unit activity director.
