Registered nurses Britney Harden and Melissa Reese-Husselbaugh were recently presented with Carroll Hospital's July and August DAISY Awards, respectively.
A nurse at the hospital since 2014, Harden was recognized for her exceptional care of two patients on her unit. She was extremely kind and caring, and ensured they were consistently informed and comfortable during their hospital stay.
Reese-Husselbaugh has worked at the hospital since 2013. She was recognized for going above and beyond her normal duties when she arranged for a patient to see an ailing loved one at Dove House, Carroll Hospital's hospice inpatient facility, so that the patient could say a last goodbye in person.
Carroll Hospital's DAISY Award was created to honor outstanding health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
