Carroll Hospital recognized several physicians for their expertise and exceptional patient care, presenting them with the November and December Physicians of the Month awards.
Anesthesiologists Jessica Hobbs, M.D., and Celaine So, M.D., were named the November Physicians of the Month for stepping in and assisting in the anesthesia care of a patient. Dr. Hobbs has been affiliated with the hospital for three years and Dr. So for four years.
Tuesday Cook, M.D., general surgery, and Tami Tiamfook-Morgan, M.D., emergency medicine, were named the December Physicians of the Month for their expertise and leadership while caring for a critically injured patient. Drs. Cook and Tiamfook-Morgan have been affiliated with the hospital since 2018 and 2014, respectively.
Each month, Carroll Hospital recognizes the extraordinary patient care achievements of physicians, as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and certified nurse anesthetists, with a program called Practitioner/Physician WOW Service Awards. From those who are nominated to receive these awards each month, one Physician or Provider of the Month is chosen. And, from a year's worth of Physician or Provider of the Month winners, one Physician of the Year and/or one Advanced Practice Provider of the Year is selected.
Community members and hospital associates are encouraged to nominate a medical professional who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to patients in a variety of ways. For more information, call 410-871-6899.
