Giant and Martin's stores announce yearly donations

Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets announced its charitable donations made in 2014 totaled $27 million in combined cash and product contributions from customers, vendors and associates. The stores are committed to supporting its communities through donations to regional food bank partners and local pantries; raising funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals; funding through its A+ School Rewards program; participation in the Support Our Troops campaign; and contributions to local community groups and nonprofit organizations.
Headquartered in Carlisle, Pa., Giant/Martin's operates nearly 200 grocery stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, including a Martin's store at 1320 Londontown Blvd., Eldersburg.
