The Carroll County Farm Museum is looking for volunteer Hoff Barn guides and artisans who would like to demonstrate historic arts in the Museum's Living History Center.
Hoff Barn guides offer visitors the opportunity to witness Carroll County's rich agricultural history in the museum's original 1790s barn. Potential guides are invited to a training session in mid- March that will provide them with the teaching tools needed to interpret farm life to school-age and general audiences. Historical clothing is provided.
The Farm Museum continues to welcome volunteers who would like to demonstrate a historic trade or craft. Current openings include open hearth cooking, woodworking, quilting, weaving, spinning and other fiber arts. Other historical crafts are also welcome; please contact the museum to discuss ideas.
