Baltimore man charged with CDS possession, violating probation

A Baltimore man served with an arrest warrant was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance when a search at the Carroll County Detention Center allegedly revealed suspected heroin.

A warrant was issued for Willie Lee Wilson III, 21, after he allegedly violated the terms of a probation before judgment on a driving on revoked license charge from 2013, according to electronic court files.

Wilson was arrested on Tuesday and at approximately midnight that evening, a detention center officer allegedly located a small, clear pill containing suspected heroin in Wilson's sock, according to charging documents.

When the officer asked Wilson what the substance was, he allegedly admitted that it was heroin, according to the documents.

Wilson was released from the Carroll County Detention Center after posting $5,000 bond, according to electronic court files.

A preliminary hearing for the possession of CDS charge is scheduled for Oct. 15 in the District Court of Maryland for Carroll County, according to electronic court files. A violation of probation hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29 in the Circuit Court for Carroll County.
