Westminster police investigating man's death

The Westminster Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found behind a building in the city.

Richard Lewis Morris, 32, was found unconscious behind a building in the unit block of Manchester Avenue at about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Westminster Police Department.

Officers and emergency medical personnel declared him deceased when they arrived, according to the release.

As of 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, the cause of death was unknown, and Morris' body was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, according to the release.

Morris was living at the Boston Inn before his death, and it is unclear whether he was homeless, said Capt. Pete D'Antuono, of the Westminster Police Department.
