A Laurel man could be facing theft charges after a family dispute in Sykesville that resulted in a police search involving dogs and a helicopter, according to Sgt. Shawn Kilgore of the Sykesville Police Department.

The man was transported to the Carroll Hospital Center Sunday night to be treated for injuries after the Sykesville Police Department responded to a family dispute in the 7500 block of Willowbottom Road, the agency reported.
