Maryland State Police troopers are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Royal Farms in Eldersburg early Monday morning.

It is not believed at this time that a gun was involved, according to Trooper James Cooper of the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack. Cooper characterized the incident as a strong-arm robbery.

Three black men entered the store at about 4:30 a.m. Monday and demanded money, according to Cooper.

The men left with cash and cigarettes, Cooper said, and might have fled in a vehicle. A state police helicopter and a K-9 unit were used to attempt to track the suspects.
