A Hampstead man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to burn down a woman's residence.
Codey Ashton Gisiner, 19, of the 1100 block of Caton Road, was charged with one count of arson threat. He was initially held without bail, which was changed to $1,500 after a Wednesday bail review. He posted bond and was released Wednesday, according to electronic court records.
Hampstead police responded to Gisiner's Caton Road residence on Monday and attempted to make contact with someone inside the home. No one responded and the officer went to the residence of the woman who called 911, according to the statement of charges.
The woman told the officer she had been staying with Gisiner and his mother. Over the course of the week, she observed them use illegal drugs and drink. On Monday, she went into the residence's basement and found her 1-year-old daughter in the room while Gisiner and another man were smoking marijuana, according to the statement.
She became upset and began to leave when Gisiner attempted to fight her and threatened to burn down her house. As she was getting picked up by her father, the other man also attempted to fight with her. She was able to leave and called 911, according to the statement.
A phone number was not listed for Gisiner. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 18.
