Finksburg 7-Eleven robbed, police seeking information on suspect

Police are attempting to identify the man who robbed the 7-Eleven in Finksburg early Thursday morning.

Around 1:45 a.m., Carroll County Sheriff's deputies and Maryland State Police troopers responded to the convenience store in the 2100 block of Sandymount Road for the report of a robbery that had just occurred, according to a post on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

An employee told deputies that an unidentified white male had entered the store, displayed an "edged weapon" and demanded money. The employee compiled and the man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The man is described as 6-foot tall, weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing dark colored pants, dark shoes, a light colored long sleeve shirt and a pink or faded red baseball cap with an "M" symbol on it. He also had an orange shirt that he used to cover his face.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
