Two men were arrested in Finksburg after Maryland State Police allegedly found 15.7 grams of marijuana in their car.
Devon Solomon Wayne Charles, 21, of Baltimore, and Courtney Jerome Brown, 23, of Baltimore County, were each charged with one count of possession of marijuana and 16 counts of intent to distribute, according to electronic court records.
Charles was released Monday on personal recognizance. Brown was held on $6,000 bail, which he posted on Monday.
A Maryland State Police trooper pulled over Charles and Brown, after Charles allegedly failed to turn off his high beams within 300 feet of the car in front of him at approximately 8:34 p.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Md. 140 and Bethel Road, according to a statement of probable cause.
While talking with the driver, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana and conducted a drug search of the car. While searching the car, the trooper allegedly found a glass jar with 16 clear plastic bags containing marijuana inside, totaling 15.7 grams. The jar was found behind the plastic cover for the gear selector between the driver's and passenger's seats, according to the statement.
