The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance in locating a missing New Windsor man who was last seen on New Year's Eve.
Dillon Dwayne Arbaugh, 23, of the 1300 block of Nicodemus Road, was seen by a relative in the afternoon Dec. 31 when he said he was going to a friend's house and would not be returning that evening, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Arbaugh is described as a white male with short, blond hair and hazel eyes, according to the release. He is approximately 5-foot-6 and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
Anyone with information concerning the location of Arbaugh is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 410-386-2900 or the anonymous TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP.
Arbaugh is the third missing person reported in a two-week span in Carroll County.
Zachary Jones, 30, of Eldersburg, was reported missing Dec. 23 and was located unharmed out of state Dec. 28, according to the sheriff's office. Alex Ebberts, 25, of Westminster, was reported missing Dec. 29 and was found dead Monday.
The three cases appear unrelated, according to Cpl. Jonathan Light of the sheriff's office. Deputies investigate any reports of a missing person immediately based on the severity of the circumstances.
News releases are issued when suspicious circumstances or any condition where the missing person could be considered endangered exist, Light said. Releases are also issued when investigators have exhausted leads.
