A Westminster man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly shoved a woman into a fence post.
Michael Joseph Picotte, 32, of the 40 block of Pennsylvania Ave. in Westminster, was charged with one count of second-degree assault. He was released on his own recognizance, according to electronic court records.
According to the statement of charges, Picotte shoved a woman into a fence post after getting “agitated because he was ‘drunk.’ ” The responding officer, with the Westminster Police Department, found injuries on the woman’s left foot and chest.
Picotte did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A court trial is scheduled for June 26.
