Westminster police looking for suspect from NWSB Bank robbery on Friday

The Westminster Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in the investigation of a robbery that occurred Friday evening.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., an unknown white male suspect entered the NWSB Bank branch located in the College Square shopping center, 444 WMC Drive.

“[He] presented a demand note announcing a robbery, and walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash,” Cpt. Pete D’Antuono told the Times about two hours after the incident.

The suspect was identified as a white man, possibly in his 20s, and about 6 feet tall with a thin build.

He wore a pair of large black sunglasses, a zippered maroon hooded sweatshirt with the hood tied tight around his face and a dark pair of pants, D’Antuono said.

The suspect allegedly had a knife, but no customers or employees were injured, police said.

The Westminster Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this bank robbery.
