A Westminster man has been arrested on seven drug charges.
Taray Whitener, 35, of the unit block of Bond Street, was arrested Friday and charged with maintaining a common nuisance — a distribution of controlled dangerous substance felony charge — as well as two felony charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possessing paraphernalia, possessing over 10 grams of marijuana and two more counts of possession of substances other than marijuana.
He was released on $10,000 bond Saturday, according to electronic court records.
The arrest was a result of a search and seizure warrant, according to a Westminster Police Department news release.
According to the statement of probable cause, when police searched Whitener’s home, they found cans with false bottoms, more than $3,000 in cash, and various amounts of what was suspected of being marijuana, heroin and cocaine.
A detective on the scene made the determination that the amount of suspected “crack” cocaine and heroin was in sufficient quantity to warrant an intent to distribute, according to the statement.
Whitener’s preliminary hearing will be June 7.
