According to the statement of charges, a man reported his Honda was stolen from the Target parking lot last Wednesday. A detective, who had reviewed video footage of the incident, was able to identify Dickinson while they were serving an arrest warrant for a different incident, the statement read.

Dickinson admitted to entering Target to get a drink of water, but denied stealing the car, according to the statement. He told police “someone told [him]” it was parked close to the Wendy’s near Giant and Staples.

An officer spoke to the suspect, and identified him as Dickinson, the statement read.

A court date is scheduled for Aug. 6.
