According to the statement of charges, Hampstead Police officers responded to a reported assault at a Hampstead residence on July 1. They spoke to a woman who said during an argument Krol shoved her near a staircase, where she came close to falling.

The woman told police she had a protective order against Krol and he had refused to leave when asked, according to the statement.

When the woman told Krol police were coming, he picked up a 2-year-old resident of the house and began to leave. The woman was able to retrieve the child, at which time she was standing behind Krol’s vehicle while holding the child, telling him to wait until police arrived, according to the statement.

She said Krol then backed his vehicle into her leg. She yelled for him to stop multiple times before he made contact but he did not, according to the statement.

Police did not observe visible injury to the woman. A juvenile witness described the same series of events as the woman, according to the statement.

A court date is scheduled for Sept. 19.
