According to a news release from the Maryland State Police, the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began investigating in September 2017 after multiple downloads of child pornography were traced back to a computer allegedly owned by Herbert.

On Wednesday, a task force consisting of police and Homeland Security investigators searched Herbert’s residence and located several images of child pornography. Herbert was arrested at the scene without incident, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
